The heading is the top of the curtain. It decides how the folds fall. Not sure? We bring samples of all four.
Wave
Even, uniform folds on a track. Clean and modern.
Best for: lounges, sliding doors, sea-facing rooms. See our wave curtains.
Pencil pleat
Soft gathered folds. Works on most tracks and rods.
Best for: bedrooms, guest rooms, layering with sheers.
Pinch pleat
Hand-sewn pleats that hold their shape. Tailored and formal.
Best for: dining rooms, formal lounges, heavier fabrics.
Eyelet
Metal rings on a rod. Relaxed, easy to open.
Best for: casual spaces, rentals, kids' rooms.
Pick the fabric for the room
Sun, salt air and humidity are hard on fabric. We specify UV and mildew resistant linings for coastal homes as standard.
Sheer
Light, airy fabric that softens harsh sun and cuts glare. You keep the view and your furniture is better protected from fading. Hang it alone or layer it with blackout.

Linen and linen-look
Natural linen, or a linen-look blend that creases less and keeps its shape in humid air. Soft texture with light privacy during the day.

Blackout lining
A lining sewn to the back of your chosen fabric. It blocks the light and adds insulation, so the room stays darker and cooler.
Best for: bedrooms, nurseries, media rooms.
Sheer and blackout layered
Two curtains on a double track: a sheer for soft daytime privacy and a blackout curtain for night. One window, full light control.

How much do custom curtains cost?
Every set is priced to your window sizes, fabric, lining and track, so there is no one price. Book a free consultation and you will have an itemised quote within 1 working day.
How long do curtains take to make and install?
Curtains take 7 to 12 working days to make, counted from your deposit. Once they are ready, we book an installation date that suits you.
What are the best curtains for a coastal home?
Sheer, linen-look, and blackout curtains in neutral tones are ideal for coastal homes. We recommend using UV-resistant and mildew-resistant linings to protect fabrics from humidity and sunlight common to coastal living.
Can you quote before I move to Ballito?
Yes. Many of our clients are relocating from Johannesburg. Send us your floor plan or window sizes on WhatsApp and we can quote, courier fabric samples and plan your installation around your move.
Do you supply the tracks and rods?
Yes. We supply and fit the tracks and rods, matched to your curtain heading and the weight of your fabric, including Somfy motorised tracks.
Can my curtains be motorised later?
Yes. Any curtain we make can be motorised now or later with a Somfy or Motionblinds track, controlled by remote, app or voice.
