Business Name: The Window Boutique
Email: hello@window.co.za

The Window Boutique is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, place an order, or engage with our team.

Information we collect

We may collect and process the following personal data:

• Full name, email address, and contact number

• Delivery address and property location (for quotes or installation)

• Window measurements, product preferences, and uploaded photos

• Payment information (processed securely via PayFast or other trusted gateways)

• Browsing data via cookies and Google Analytics

• Communication history with our consultants or designers

How we use your information

We collect this data to:

• Respond to enquiries and provide accurate product quotes

• Process and deliver orders

• Schedule consultations or installation appointments

• Send booking confirmations, status updates, and after-sales care

• Improve our customer service and website experience

• Measure which of our Google ads lead to genuine enquiries

• Share occasional updates or offers (if you’ve opted in)

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

How we store and protect your data

Your information is stored on our secure website hosting and in our business email. Only authorised staff can access it. We keep quote requests, including the copies in our email and records, for two years, then delete them.

We use trusted third-party services for payment, email marketing, and hosting — all compliant with South African POPIA and international data protection laws.

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies to:

• Analyse visitor traffic using Google Analytics

• Measure the results of our Google advertising

• Improve website speed, layout, and functionality

• Help you resume quote submissions or contact form interactions

We do not use a cookie pop-up. By continuing to use this website, you agree to our use of cookies as described here and in our cookie policy. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Advertising measurement

If you reach our website from a Google ad, the Google tag saves the ad click reference in your browser. When you send a quote request, the tag also sends Google a hashed (scrambled) copy of the contact details you enter, such as your email address, phone number, name and address. We also tell Google which quote requests were genuine enquiries, using hashed contact details and the click reference. Google uses this to report which of our ads led to an enquiry. We keep quote requests for two years. To have yours deleted, email hello@window.co.za.

Information officer

Our information officer is Anke, owner of The Window Boutique (Pty) Ltd. Contact: hello@window.co.za or 032 815 2973.

Email marketing and communications

We will only send promotional emails if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us directly at hello@window.co.za.

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Request corrections or updates to your data

• Withdraw consent for communication or marketing at any time

• Request deletion of your data (where legally permitted)
